A wide range of baby clothes – what’s the best way to shop?

We buy clothes for children much more often and in greater numbers than those for adults. No wonder – many parents have probably found out how fast their children are growing. It often happens that the parents managed to put on some clothes for their child only once – after a month it turned out to be too small. The market is also conducive to frequent purchases, as it offers a wide selection of children’s clothing. Buying more clothes for children is very useful and practical, because, as you know, children often get dirty clothes, and the child sometimes has to be changed several times a day. The child grows up quickly and the parents are left with a huge amount of clothes. Children’s clothing, as it is usually worn for a short time, is not damaged and is in very good condition, sometimes even perfect. What is best to do with old clothes, which will no longer be needed? There are several possibilities – selling, giving to friends or people in need, or even reusing them.

How to buy and not go crazy?

Where and how to store a large number of clothes?

In order to accommodate our child’s clothing, it is worth finding some space in a large wardrobe or buying a smaller wardrobe only for a child. It is important to allocate drawers (smaller and larger), shelves and hangers for children’s clothes. We can keep smaller things in small drawers – such as socks, gloves or hats. If we do not have small drawers, we can use organizers instead – boxes divided into smaller parts. They are immediately available in many stores, and if you have time, you can also make them yourself. In order not to get lost in the excess of clothes during morning dressing, it is worth keeping them organized. Keep pants on a separate shelf and blouses and T-shirts on a separate shelf. Hang things on hangers such as sweaters, fleece, tank tops, jackets and – in the case of girls – dresses. We can sort them by thickness or color. The most important thing is to develop one method that is most convenient for us and stick to it all the time. So that unnecessary things do not take up too much valuable space, it is worth keeping only the clothes that the child is wearing at the moment on hand. In summer, let’s hide warmer clothes, put on on cold days, and vice versa – in winter, we will find another place for thin summer clothes. If we have a wardrobe in which we do not keep anything downstairs, this is where we can put unnecessary clothing. So that it does not get dirty or dusty when not in use, it is best to fold it and put it in bags or boxes. Clothes for children that are not used at the time can also be taken out to the attic or basement (you should only pay attention, whether it is too humid in these rooms).

A second life for used things or a way to fund your home budget

Clothes that our child has already grown out of should not be thrown away. There are many other possibilities. One of the most popular ones is keeping clothes that will be useful to a younger child in the future – ours or someone from family or friends. If we do not have anyone in our vicinity to whom we can give unused clothes, we may find volunteers on the Internet. On many internet forums, parents donate clothes for children – you can easily meet many people who live close to us, who, even on the same day, will pick up things that we no longer use. If your wardrobe is in perfect condition, and we spent a lot of money on it while shopping, you can put it up for sale and help your home budget a bit.People with manual skills and a head full of ideas can also use old children’s clothes in a completely different way – making them, for example, dust cloths.
